Of course, travelers who aren’t into dishing out on the latest styles or make-up will discover a whole lotto things to do in Myeongdong besides its obvious appeal for shoppers. DAY 3: Nami Island & Petite France

    Pick up from Hotel

Nami Island, or Namiseom Island, is a half moon-shaped isle near Seoul. If you have heard or seen the famous Korean drama “Winter Sonata”, you’ll already be familiar with this romantic destination. Truly magical and unique, Nami Island even declared its cultural independence from the Republic of Korea and called itself the Naminara Republic. One of the most special characteristics about this beautiful island is that it showcases a different, yet equally amazing, scenic experience each season, making it the perfect day trip from Seoul, any time of the year. Enjoy the scenic beauty of roads lined with chestnut & poplar trees, huge grasslands and a variety of activities for entertainment.

Petite France – A French cultural village set against the Korean countryside, you can experience French culture, clothing and architecture. Petite France, Strasbourg is by far the cutest and most charming part of town. It’s located on Grand Ile, which is a UNESCO site and historic area surrounded by water. My favorite part of Strasbourg was walking through Petite France and seeing the many historic half-timbered houses reflected in the water. It is gorgeous!

Namsan and offers an incredible panoramic view of the entire Seoul. Due to its popularity, it’s also a popular spot amongst locals, especially lovebirds.

Unhyeongung Palace – Unhyeongung Palace is one of Seoul's smaller palaces and it is an important historic site that is open to the public. The palace was formerly the private residence of Emperor Gojong's father, the prince regent Heungseon Daewongun. The young Gojong lived here before he assumed the throne and his wedding to Myeongseong took place here. An annual re-enactment of the royal wedding ceremony between Emperor Gojong and Empress Myeongseong takes place here at the palace. During the reign of Emperor Gojong, Unhyeongung was as grand as any other palace in Seoul, but over time, many of the palace buildings were heavily damaged and destroyed. Today, visitors can see what has been preserved of the palace and take part in traditional cultural activities and crafts experiences. On weekends, visitors can watch Seoulites get married in traditional Korean wedding ceremonies at the palace.
